Default New Documents Have No Top Margin

Does anyone know what would cause Microsoft Word to start the insertion
point practically within the top margin? When actually printing my
document, margin size is correct though. See attached file.

Check your setting for "white space," the blank space usually left at the
top and bottom of a printed page. You can improve readabiilty by
eliminating this. Hover your cursor at the top of the page and look for a
little "white space" signal to appear. Otherwise, something wierd may have
happened to your margins and header settings.

If you had searched this NG for "top margin" before posting, you would not
only have received the answer you need (see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/WhiteSpace.htm) but also would have seen
that it was quite unnecessary to post a screen shot because we are quite
familiar with the problem. Attachments are strongly discouraged in these
(Word) NGs and are not permitted in the Microsoft Communities Web interface,
so most of those reading your post will not see your attachment anyway.
