labels in word 2007
When I create a file label sheet in word, and then save it, the lines go
away. I tried selecting "show grid lines" but what I get looks like graph paper and not labels. I have also tried saving it as a template, but still no lines when I open it. In office 03 I was able to have a blank file label sheet which was very handy and fast when needing to set up a file. Can you help? |

labels in word 2007
I assume that by "show grid lines", you mean the "View Gridlines" under the
Table section of the Layout tab of the Table Tools Ribbon. If so, the blue dashed lines that appear, which I assume is what you mean by "looks like graph paper" are the equivalent of the solid grey lines that you would have seen in Word 2003. The process of creating a blank page of labels in Word 2007 is exactly the same as it was in 2003. Once you select the type of label that you want via the Options button on the Labels tab of the Envelopes and Labels dialog that you can get access to by clicking on Labels in the Create section of the Mailings tab of the Ribbon, click on the New Document button on the Labels tab and a new document will be created that contains a table with cell dimensions that match the dimensions of the label that you have selected. -- Hope this helps.
