GAL from Exchange account to POP3 account...
We have an Exchange 2003 in a Win 2003 domain.
I have an Outlook 2003 client in a Exchange mode. I open up the Address Book choose all contacts and then I add them to a contacts file which is compatible with previous versions of Outlook. Then I export the contacts to a pst file and I import it to another profile which is a POP3 account. when I go to the contacts I imported, I open one contact and I right-click on the e-mail address field choosing properties I get the message : "The name or distribution list has been deleted and is no longer a valid Address Book entry. The item could not be found " And when I'm sending an e-mail using the imported contacts from the To field the mail doesn't leave the outbox. If I go the imported contacts and I retype the e-mail address it's ok!!!! Could someone enlighten me??? Explain me what is going on here ? P.S Sorry but I'm kind of new to the Exchange admin. |

GAL from Exchange account to POP3 account...
First of all, Diane, I would like to thank you for taking the time to
answer my question. Well, actually I opened the Address Book and the e-mail address is like this : /o="organizationname"/ou="Administrative Group"/cn=Recipients/cn="alias" So what you're telling me is that it isn't an error from me but from MS. I'd like to know if there is a faster way to correct this than the solutions we're given from the articles you pointed out. Any ideas? "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote in message ... it sounds like the exchange address is used, not the SMTP address and I thought it was fixed in later versions of Outlook. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;223901 http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;246536 -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Author, Google and Other Search Engines (Visual QuickStart Guide) Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com OneNote Tips: "Niko" wrote in message om...
