Default How do I recapture "words" original settings (to display margins)

I was trying to create a resume, and I decided to try various options such as
adjusting margins, changing fonts, adding "bullets", etc. **Keep in mind
that 1) I am a novice regarding various programs, but I am not afraid to
try, (2) My friends that are "tech savvy" have better things to do than give
me a brief "tutorial" each time I need help!

However, by the time I finished, (frustrated as usual) the margins were no
longer visable and the page did not look like it originally did. I don't
know what button that I may have touched that made it disappear.

HELP!

One quick way to reset Word's formatting defaults is to delete normal.dotm
or normal.dot (depending on which version of Word you're using), and let
Word create a new one (which it will do automatically).
