Default Office 2003 Fuzzy Icons

I recently installed Office 2003 on a Pent. III with
Windows XP Home. All the buttons in the Office programs
are fuzzy and blurry (especially the spell check). I
unistalled Office and re-installed. I can't find any
notes in technet or the board showing a fix. Anyone,
know a way around this?

My other programs all have normal icons so I know it is
just Office. Is this a bug or a "feature" of the new
program?

Hi, Little B. That's just how the new icons are in Office 2003. It one of those improvements that weren't. Lots of people are complaining about them. For now there isn't much you can do about it.

I hate them as well. Microsoft Help directs you to the "Appearance and Themes" in Control Panel to change them, but I don't have an "Appearance and Themes". If anyone does have it and can change the icons please post it.

I have tried new themes (Control Panel - Display - Themes
tab) but they do not fix the problem.

I am curious what Microsoft Help you saw. If it is an
article in the knowledge base could you post the link for
me?
