Default downloading eml into OE from website.

We used to be able to download eml stationary directly into OE. Then it quit
working. I recently heard that we are again able to download into "program
files/common files/microsoft shared/stationery. Can you tell me how to do
this action now?

You can download stationery templates from any source and save them in that
file for OE to use.

If you're thinking of
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/oe/...ry/default.ASP, that's
no longer an available page since all further OE development was stopped in
June 2006.

If you're interested in stationery, read on (courtesy of longtime MVP Jim
Pickering):

The active stationery groups were migrated to a Microsoft-hosted private
newsserver several years ago. Try posting there.

The private server can be accessed using the following settings in a new
News account:

Server: privatenews.microsoft.com
Account Name: privatenews\stationery
Password: stationery

The only reason it's on a private server is that Microsoft does not allow
posting of messages larger than 100 KB to pubic newsgroups. Since many
stationeries are often much larger, since they include multiple images and
sound files, the use of a private newsgroups was set up to allow them to
continue with their creations.

Stationery is an HTML file. An EML file is a saved or forwarded message
or possibly a template. But EML files cannot be directly used as
stationery.
