Outlook Icon On desktop through admin install

Default Outlook Icon On desktop through admin install

we are currently using an admin install with a custom mst file to deploy
office 2003 by default the icon for Outlook does n ot apear on the desktop.
Now I can create a shortcut to the outlook program and put that on the
desktop but that is not the same icon we want on the desktop. we want the
actual icon that when you right click you get your mail properties. Our
Office Xp installation did this with no problem but it looks like the
"Feature" is not available for for Office 2003. Any help would be greatly
appreciate it since we are trying to deploy Office 2003 to our entire
company.

You need to include a reg hack. This is what we use.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\{00020D75-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}]
