Default Office 2003 Reaching For Internet

I just installed Office 2003 Professional. I also loaded the Outlook Contact
Manager disc. When I made an attempt to get a blank page in Word, my McAffee
warned that "Microsoft Office\Office 11\Winword.exe" was attempting to
access the net. I blocked it and continued without apparent incident. Why
would "Winword" be accessing the net?

P.S. I'd also like to change the blank template font but the "Properties"
selection doesn't tell me where the template comes from. Can someone tell me
where to find it please?

Because all Office 2003 apps have the option to access the Office website to
access additional support information, clip art and templates. This can be
switched off in Tools Options.

If the template is blank, it doesn't have anything in it. Are you referring
to document styles (styles and formatting)?

In Word, click on Help to display the Help task pane, and click on
Online Content Settings | Online Content | uncheck the "Show content and
links from Microsoft Office Online" box.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...alTemplate.htm .

See the post below this one? That is called an actual answer, something you
have no clue about. In other words, STFU
