Default Page background doesn't extend to edge of page

Using Publisher 2007, with an 8 1/2 by 11 page layout (landscape) with 1/2
margins, the background color does not print to the papers edge. There is a
white margin 1/8" on the left, 3/8" on the top and bottom and 1/2" on the
right side. These margins appear in "Print Preview" and on the paper when
printed. The rulers show the background to be 8 1/2 x 11 when in the edit
screen. What settings do I need to change to make it print edge to edge?
Thanks

Your printer needs to be able to print "full bleed" (to the edge). Read your
printer manual to see what settings are required to get that result.
