Default page numbering problems

In my document, page numbers after section breaks are
not being numbered properly. My document is set for
different odd and even footers, and different first page
footers. Each section in my document ends with a
continous page section break (to even out the columns)
followed by an odd page section break to to begin a new
section. The title of the new section is followed by a
continuos page section break so that it can extend across
the page, while the body of of the section can be in two
columns. The process repeats. The problems is that the
page numbering on the first page of the section, even
though it is formatted to continue from the previous
section, begins on the wrong page number, in this case
always page three, except for the first section, which
begins on page one. The rest of the section numbers
sequentially from page three. Each section then starts
over the same way, even though I make sure page numbering
is set to continue from previous. The template I based
this document off of works fine. What is the problem? How
can I fix it/

Thanks for any help

Default page numbering problems

In some section somewhere you have set numbering to start at 3. Given the
number of Continuous breaks, it's probably somewhere in one of the sections
with an inaccessible header/footer. Find the first occurrence of the problem
and either insert a page break or delete the section break temporarily to
get access to the section where the problem starts. Fix the numbering, then
delete the page break or reinstate the section break.
