Default Publisher 2000 won't print on all printers

Hi,

We having problems with printing using Microsoft Publisher
2000.

There are 3 printers on the network:

1 Epson 710
2 Hewlett Packard CP1700
3 Minolta Laser Jet

Publisher 2000 won't see the the HP printer. It prints on
the all other printers and all other applications can
print on that HP.

All patches and updates have also been added - Can anyone
help?

You do have the latest drivers, right?
HP has a driver for your printer with a timestamp of January 2004... Firmware too.
I am assuming a XP OS

We are having a similar problem. Running Win 98, using HP 6L. Can print from WORD, etc., but not Publisher...message says Printer is out of paper, which is not the case.

The best solution would be to uninstall your printer completely and then reinstall.
Publisher is critical about printer drivers, more so than any other Office product.

Try renaming the HP printer to a printer name that has fewer than 8
characters and no spaces (such as HPCP).
In addition, if you know how, try mapping the printer to a local port if you
are currently printing to a UNC share.
