Default Backing up all e-mails

Is there a way to save all incoming and sent e-mails so that if I have to
empty out my computer and reinstall everything I will save this info?

Thanks,
good to know it can be done. I have many probs with my computer and wanted
to know I could save this info first as I work from home.

Next problem I have is I can no longer access my windows explorer, for some
reason all my program files no longer come up on the start button. I have
tried to find it by fishin through the files on my computer, but cannot and I
don't want to mess about too much - that's probably how I screwed things up
to begin with
