Powerpoint presentation on VR

I would appreciate any guidance or anwsers to a few questions. I am
preparing a short presentation for my class on virtual reality -
definition, most popular VR software, uses of VR, examples of
environments.

I have researched forever and I still have questions. I am doing it
in PPT. I realize that many things fall under VR: 3D, ect
I wanted to talk about the most popular used software. I cannot find
any such list. I know that VRML is use to create 3D objects, unless
you use software.

I wanted to add photos/graphics to the slides and show them in class.
The graphics would be of the dif environments - medicine, games, etc.

My question is if I add the 3d graphics to the slides and show them in
class, does the class need 3d glasses or a VRML browser? I cannot add
the browser on the PC. I am stressing because I want this to be a
good presentation.
Please tell me how I can do a presentation on VR with 3d graphics.
Will the students need glasses or will it just look like 3D on the PC
with the naked eye.

Years ago there used to be a VRML plug-in / add-in for powerpoint, I think it came bundled with simply 3d. Whether or
not it's still available I have no idea.
