Hyperlinks in index

When I generated an index with the Index field, I expected
to be able to click on the page number to go to the page,
the same way I can in the Table of Contents. Word did not
create hyperlinks for my page numbers. Can this be done?
I've read the Help on the switches you can use with
{INDEX}, but I don't think there's one for hyperlinks.

Now that I've read how to behave in the newsgroup, I'll
add that I'm using Word 2000 on Windows 2000. (Sorry about
my impatience; I'm looking at about 2 days' additional
work if Word won't support hyperlinks in an index.)

Unfortunately, that much requested feature is not available in current
versions. Write to to add your vote for having it added
to a future version.
