Word 2000, Win 2000
I have a table (2 col, 1 row) with 20% gray shading behind black text. Everything looks normal, but when I create a .pdf file (Acrobat 5.0), some of the text in the table is missing. It's as if an invisible box were drawn across part of each table cell; the shading is there, but the text isn't. I've searched all over the page, including headers and footers, but can't find any rogue graphic elements.
Any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

If you are using the "Convert to PDF" macro that is installed with Acrobat,
might I suggest that instead you try FilePrint, and select Acrobat
Distiller as the printer. This usually will clear up any problems with
rendering of graphics, tables, etc. in the PDF output.

I did that and it worked, although I miss the automatic links from the TOC and cross-references. Is there to print to file and keep the links active?

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to do that when printing directly to
the distiller. The only advice I can offer is to go to ToolsMacroMacros,
find and run the macro called "DoPrefsForm", and try futzing with the
settings to see if you can get the desired result using the ConvertToPDF
button.
