Default Outlook 2007 won't start after SP2

Not good news... installed SP2 last night because Outlook 2007 was becoming
increasingly unstable. It would occasionally hang on sending an email which
is very annoying after having just written it. Hey, even Google Mail saves
drafts automatically.

After upgrade, it went through some lengthy (about 15 mins) process of
preparing the mailbox and I used Outlook for a few hours.

This morning, I've tried to re-open Outlook and it hung (PC has been left)
on. Ended the task after 15 mins and then restarted Outlook. Asked if I
wanted to start in safe mode. Said no and it hung again. Started it again
and it asked if I wanted to start in safe mode. Hung again. Started it again
and it said did I want to run repair and recovery. Said yes and some
re-installation of Outlook 2007 occurred and the nothing. Run Outlook again
and it finally opened....

Not good! Supposed to have speeded up loading....

Cheers, Rob.

Your first mistake was installing software / update in an attempt to cure a
pre-existing problem.
Are there any other problems on your sys?
Did you ever actually start OL in Safe Mode, with what result?
