Default Strange formatting problem

When I change the format on one paragraph, such as indenting or centering,
the entire document changes. When I click "Undo" it will undo the change to
the entire document but not the change I wanted, so it is as if it is
applying two changes at once. Any idea of how to fix this?

Thanks;

Amy

Turn off "automatically update" in the style definitions as described in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...eformatted.htm .
