changing original settings of MS Office
Dear group,
I have bought the Microsoft Sudent and Home version Office and installed it on my machine. The software comes with following styles. Style: Normal and Font: Calibri 11 I want to change this option to Style: No Spacing Font: Times New Roman 12 for all future documents. I tried doing that but always the new documents do start with the original settings i.e. "Normal and Calibri 11". I "DO NOT WANT" to create a new template, but want to make the changes in the original icon/installation/template for the new style i.e. Times New Roman 11, and Style: No Spacking. Can someone please help me out. While installing the software did not give me any option of about default settings. Thanks in advance nagrik |

Subsequent FileNew commands should open the changed Normal.dot, and give you the desired settings. |

Thanks in advance nagrik On the Ribbon bar to the right of the word Font where the fonts are selected is a small downward right pointing arrow. Click on that. In the font menu box that appears choose your new default font and size. Click the word Default in the lower left corner and answer Yes to the warning that pops up. Ok out and from then on, unless your Normal.dot template file becomes corrupt and it has to be replaced you should always have that as your default font in Word. Any posts in the future please state the operating system being used and the version of Office the question is being referenced to. The only reason I answered for Office 2007 is that is the default type style in Word for Office 2007. |
