Default Independent office license audit

Hi all,
Is there way to verify that installation belongs to some known volume
license using just remote registry reading?
It would be easy to do if there would be a license key in registry.
Then one would read this key and compare it with a key in inventory
database. But HLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Registration\{} \ProductID
is some derivative from license key that also depends from something else.
Is there some way to do such comparison?
