Default resume stuck @ work need 2 bring it home

I made a document at work on the word pad. At home I have
Microsoft word. I sent the document through email but
when I open the attachment for some reason it doesn't
automatically convert the format.

Open it at home in WordPad, then copy and paste the whole thing to a blank
Microsoft Word document.

Wordpad saves in RTF format which is compatible with all versions of Word.
It is possible that the document has become corrupt in transit. Send a
zipped version if this proves to be the case.
