Reply e-mail address?

This is only happening on my wifes system.
Outlook express, winxp.

She has 3 e-mail address'. mom@xxxx, pat@xxxx, Pat@xxxx
Pat@xxxx is set as default.

When she replies to an e-mail, in the "From:" box it's always mom@xxxx.
I've had her check in property/details that the original e-mail is coming in
to Pat@xxx or pat@xxxx.

She is manually changing the From: box to Pat@xxxx but this is a pain to
remember.

On our other systems, the from: is whichever the e-mail is sent to.

It sounds like the all 3 accounts (addresses) are aliases for the same
mailbox. Assuming I'm correct, WYSIWYG.

I don't know what's the default Mail Client on your "other systems" but I'd
very much doubt it's OE if she's accessing all three accounts in the client
and is not seeing the same behavior.

In short: OE places the default address (i.e., Pat@xxxx) in the From line
when Replying to or Forwarding a message sent to either of the other
addresses.

The default Mail Client is OE on all systems.
Just got back from home and when I click "reply" it replies with the e-mail
that was sent to.
On this system it does the same.
I have lewis@xxxx, Lewis@xxxx, dad@xxxx with Lewis@xxxx being default. If an
e-mail comes in to dad@xxx and I hit reply, the "from:" box has dad@xxxx. If
it came to lewis@xxxx that's what's in the From: box when I hit reply.
Pat's is the only one that doesn't do that. All replies have mom@xxxx no
matter what came in....

Will run a couple of text and report back.
I'm going to delete the mom@xxxx and change the default a couple of times
and see what happens.

, , [the last two of which may
point to the same account] ?

Does the behavior persist with all three (3) addresses running in a new
identity on the same computer?

All 3 of the @comcrap.net are the same.
I deleted the mom@xxxx, reset the default to Pat@xxxx, reinstalled mom@xxx
and now the Pat@xxx is working ok. Go figure.

May I assume you did not create all three (3) addresses yourself and that
there's a separate web-mail page for each account?

Are they all accounts and is your ISP a Yahoo Partner (e.g.,
Verizon; ATT/SWBell)?
