x axis problems
I have a standard 3d graph indicating insurance claims paid out over a
7 year period. The y axis is dollars and the x axis is an annual term (i.e. 01/01/1998 to 01/01/1999). When the source data is set, the years read 01/01/1999 to 01/01/1998. The reverse order option merely reverses the entire order of the 7 year period, not the readout on the individual years. Any help? |

x axis problems
Charlie -
Do you mean the data is not in chronological order in the sheet? In a line chart, there are two possible types of X axis. One type is categorical, which just lists the data in its worksheet order, so dates appearing as {1998,2001,1999,2000} in the worksheet will be listed in that order. The other type is Time-Scale, and the years will be sorted into their chronological order. You can change the axis type by right clicking the chart, selecting Chart Options from the pop up menu, and clicking on the Axes tab. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP http://www.geocities.com/jonpeltier/Excel/index.html _______ Charlie E wrote: I have a standard 3d graph indicating insurance claims paid out over a 7 year period.
