Outlook contacts gone after installing Windows 7
I installed Windows 7 (custom install but did not format hard drive). After
doing so, my Office programs did not work. I had to reinstall them. After doing so, my contacts and calendar entries were gone. How do I locate them? I have searched my Windows Old folder for .csv and .pab files, but the search returns no results (I searched hidden files and folders). Any advice? Thanks, Jason |

Thanks, Jason The reason you didn't find any is because Outlook doesn't use them. Why in any case would you think that Outlook would use a csv file of any sort? And Outlook hasn't used the PAB for at least ten years. You should be looking for a file with the extension pst. |

Did you install Windows 7 over XP or Vista? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
