New computer old documents, wrong fonts
I purchased a new computer and I transfered all my old company docs. Trouble
is the new computer has changed the fonts in the old docs to new, less attactive fonts. I am assuming it is because it does not have the same fonts as my old computer. I did not buy any special fonts just what was standard MS stuff. How do I get my new computer to use the correct fonts? Do I need to copy them from the old machine? Where are they located? Thanks for your help. |

The fonts on the old computer are in the Fonts folder (Start Control
Panel Fonts). Copy them from there to somewhere on the new computer, then right-click on the filenames and choose Install. (You can do all of them at once, if you want. If there are any duplicates it'll ask if you want to replace the existing ones or skip the replacement.) I will give that a try and leave feedback.
Thanks. Also, can you give me some advice on new additional fonts, I am wondering does MS add new fonts that are available for install, where are they located, and are these the safest to install? You hear stories... "grammatim" wrote: The fonts on the old computer are in the Fonts folder (Start Control Panel Fonts). If you download the Office 2007 Compatibility Pack
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...isplaylang=en), you'll get the new C-fonts that are included in Office 2007. -- Suzanne S.
