Default Outlook 2003

I transferred data from Outlook Express 2003 to Outlook
2003 and went through the prompts for Outlook. However,
mail cannot be sent/received and I have no idea why.
2003 is different from 2000 and I don't know how to
troubleshoot to see if the server info and all that stuff
is correct. Hotmail is the account being used for email
that needs to be sent.

Help!
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
please post, what you have done. I mean which steps do you have done to
create the hotmail account.
Maybe we will find the error!

That is really hard to do after the fact! I had hoped to
find some sort of step-by-step instruction manual or
such...but, here goes...

I input the email address as it appears; I selected
hotmail (options were hotmail, msn, or other); it is as
http (other options were pop server and something else)

That is all I can recall. In 2000, it asks more things
like I have to input a string for it to come in from
hotmial, but I didn't see that in 2003.

So, does this help? I hope so as I am lost right now and
don't know what to do! I have no idea how to get it up
and running or where to turn for help besides here!

Thanks!
