Office 2000 Question
For some unknown reason, I have been unable to run Office Update in a
long while. The progress bar reaches the 40% mark and then it "crashes". I have tried every repair trick suggested by Microsoft but nothing seems to work, so I would like to completely uninstall Office 2000 and then re-install it again. Questions: 1) Is there a free software that will completely erase every trace of Microsoft Office 2000 from the registry and anywhere else things might still lurk once I uninstall the suite? 2) Is there a way to preserve all my Office 2000 settings, particularly for Outlook? (including such settings as SMTP/POP mail and NNTP news server addresses) Thanks. -- tb |

Office 2000 Question
Uninstalling is unlikely to help.
Without knowing what 'every repair trick' means any advice would be a stab in the dark "Tiziano" wrote in message ... For some unknown reason, I have been unable to run Office Update in a long while. Office 2000 Question
Here is what I tried to solve the problem:
* Microsoft article #304498 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304498); * Used Microsoft Windows Install Clean Up tool and then re-installed Office 2000. (I tried this one many times...) I don't know what else to try... -- tb on 5/12/2008 7:02 AM DL wrote the following: Uninstalling is unlikely to help.
