Should not have to use the installation disk to uninstall

Right. You shouldn't. But you do. Anyone else have an
answer that may be more helpful? I have the same
question. Every time I go to add/remove programs and try
and get rid of excel, it asks for the install disks.

There are times that you will have to have the installation disk -- ie it has
already been partially uninstalled or was never installed correctly.
