Default Converting publisher file to Adobe

I have Rockwell and I created a PDF with no problems. Open a new instance of
Publisher, setup the printer first as Adobe PDF. Copy/paste the text from the
original publication to the new. Try the PDF again.
Adobe is offering three free conversions, maybe you could try that.

Can the font you are using be embedded? There is a check-off on
the advanced button about bitmap conversion of fonts.

It's a True-type font (Rockwell) so should be ok; I tried the 'Save
As' both with embedded checked and with it not. Always came out
black. I tried a line or two in MS-Word, saved as pdf, sure enough
the pdf showed coloured text! What is going on?

Why not mount one of the print to PDF file printers? I have been using the
Broadgun PDF machine from a wide range of XP programs including Publisher
with excellent results.

I don't have the option to use an 'Adobe' printer?

I've already paid enough for Publisher and it's pdf add-in, I'm not
inclined to pay for new software to do the job the MSFT program
should do.

Well I just tried the (free) Primo PDF printer, and it looks like
that produced the correct coloured font!!!

At least that's a work-round. Thanks John and Mary for the
suggestions.

Chris,

The advantage to a separate pdf program is, it can be used for any file
produced by any program that allows printing. An addin pdf creator works
only with the program it is added to.
