Converting publisher file to Adobe
What type of Adobe file? There's a lot of them.
Assuming PDF; if you have Adobe Acrobat or one of the free PDF creators (CutePDF, PrimoPDF etc...) you would PRINT to the creator. If you have installed MS PDF add-in you would Publish as pdf in Publisher. File | Publish as PDF or XPS...and this may also depend on WHAT version of Publisher you have. So?,,,,exactly what are you trying to do, and which version of Publisher do you have? -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rob Giordano Microsoft MVP Expression "T" wrote in message ... Acrobat PDF? What version Publisher? Do you have Acrobat?
File, print, Adobe PDF. If you don't have Acrobat try a third party converter such as www.primopdf.com -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "T" wrote in message ... Hello Would anyone be able to assist me please, I would like to save my publisher document as an Adobe file to email out Thanks |

I use Acrobat and this is not happening to my publications. Have you tried the

Chris,
Adobe Acrobat has an option: "...Print Color As Black (Windows) Forces all nonwhite color to print as black. This option is useful for printing engineering drawings that have lightly colored lines...." "Chris Game" wrote in message ... On Tue, 16 Sep 2008 11:16:10 -0400, Mary Sauer wrote: Acrobat PDF? Yes, I installed that so I could save the pub file as a pdf - which the local print shop likes. I've also changed the colour system from RGB to CYK or whatever it is, with no apparent effect. The text is simple text in a pub text box which I changed to blue, and as I said other images on the page show up as expected in full colour in the pdf. -- Chris Game "Beware of bugs in the above code; I have only proved it correct, not tried it." -- Donald E. I found one link in Google which asked the same question, unfortunately deemed 'off-topic' in the forum where it was asked, so no answer forthcoming! -- Chris Game Usenet is like Tetris for people who still remember how to read. -- Button from the Computer Museum, Boston, MA |

Can the font you are using be embedded? There is a check-off on the advanced
button about bitmap conversion of fonts. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "Chris Game" wrote in message ... It's a True-type font (Rockwell) so should be ok; I tried the 'Save As' both with embedded checked and with it not. Always came out black. I tried a line or two in MS-Word, saved as pdf, sure enough the pdf showed coloured text!
