Default Filters not working correctly

When filtering a table, the filter returns the correct value(s). However, if
you attempt to copy, delete, or format the filtered values, all values are
copied or deleted, even the hidden ones. In Excel 2003, the filter returned
"Visible Cells Only" by default. This is not happening in 2007. I can work
around by gong to Find & Select on the Home tab -- Go to Special and
selecting Visible cells only. This is very tedious and is not the way it
should work. Please let me know what settings I need to change to get the
filters to work correctly.

Default Filters not working correctly

I discovered that this hotfix was already installed by my company. I'm still
having the problem with autofilters. Is there another solution?

Hi

There is a hot fix for the problem at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948944/
If you are able to download this it will solve your problem

Alternatively
Ensure that your cursor is located on any cell WITHIN the table, before
making your selection, then it will work.
Or
rather than just applying Autofilter to a block of data, use Insert
tabTable
You will automatically get filter buttons applied to the top row, and you
will not experience the problem.
