I am trying to clean-up a spreadsheet with literally thousands of drop-down

Are there any shapes on that worksheet that you want to keep?

If yes, then don't do this!

Edit|Goto (or hit ctrl-g or F5)
Special
select Objects
Ok

Then hit the delete key.

If the dropdowns are created using DataValidationList, these are not
considered objects.

Try EditGotoSpecialData ValidationOK
