Default some footnotes missing in Word 2002 but could be seen in word 2000

I could view full footnotes (19 of them altogether) in office word
2000 but when I view the same file in word 2002 or word xp, some
footnotes disappeared though the number is still there
(1,3,7,10,17,19). I save the same file in word 2000 as rtf format and
then open in word 2002 and hope to see all footnotes, however, this
time, the number is sequenced (1,2,3,4,5,6) but the other footnotes
are still no available.

This happens after I converet endnotes into footnotes in word 2002.

Any suggestions on why this happens?

A shot in the dark: Are you using Track Changes and have unresolved ones?

You are correct in pointing out the track change part. It is now
perfectly resolved by "accept all changes"!
Thanks!
