Printing as Book
On earlier versions of Publisher I could print a multipaged document as a
book and it would automatically print the pages in the correct order for binding. I cannot find how to do this in Publisher 2007. Can anyone advise please. MargaretB |

It is the same in 2007. In page setup the easiest
setup is Advanced on the right. Select booklet. Do you have a duplex unit? If not go through the printing wizard found at the Advanced Printing Options. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "MargaretB" wrote in message ... Printing as Book
Hello Mary
Thank you for replying to my question but I am afraid that I am still confused! I am not trying to print double sided, what I do is publish the local parish magazine and I print off a master copy which is then photocopied. Consequently I want these master sheets to be printed as they appear when I use the print preview icon in the top menu (ie with a 28 page booklet - Page 2 and Page 27 will be on the same A4 sheet with page 2 on the left and page 27 on the right). However, when I go into Print menu, even with 'booklet' selected, if I request Page 2, I only get page 2 printed and the rest of the sheet is blank. I therefore have to request both page 2 and page 27 at the same time, but to make it more complicated I have to actually request page '27,2' or otherwise they print the wrong way round! I have looked at the printing wizard in Advanced Printing Options but cannot see anything that is applicable to this query? Any help would be appreciated as it could save me hours!! Printing as Book
This type print setup has been a bane to me. This is the one change 2007 could
have done without. This is the sequence: 1,26,5,22,9,18,13,16,11,20,7,24,3,28 2,25,6,21,10,17,14,15,12,19,8,23,4,27 I printed this with the PDF converter that comes with Office, just to be sure it was correct. No wasted paper! Even now I'm not entirely comfortable with this. Let me know how it goes with you. You can have six pages visible in print preview. Printing as Book
Hi Mary,
MargaretB is my sister and has been in touch to say that for some reason the Publisher newsgroup is not updating on her computer, so I sent her a copy of your last response. She has asked me to post the following on her behalf. I shall continue to monitor the group for her. "Hello Mary Many thanks for your response. I am afraid that you have confirmed what I feared - that the easy printing capability has been left off the 2007 version. Thank you for the sequence, I had not thought about using .pdf so that may be useful. Kind regards MargaretB" -- Tinkerer "Mary Sauer" wrote in message ...
