How to cancel a mail merge so document not read only?
I can get mail merge to a database working fine, but I now want to update
that database, but when I open it up it says it's "Read Only". If I make changes it won't allow me to save them unless I change the name of the database, which I don't want to do. How do I cancel mail merge to get my normal document back to make & save changes? |

Right-click the file in Windows Explorer, properties, clear the read only.
What version Publisher? Usually you can cancel a merge by going to Tools, Mail and Catalog merge, Cancel Merge. -- Mary Sauer MVP http://msauer.mvps.org/ "saxwoodNZ" wrote in message ...
