Default Desktop filling up with FrontPage e icons, yellow folders, bps files

I have FrontPage 2003 and two Web sites up and running for some nonprofit clubs. My Desktop has filled up with e icons (Links, Membership, etc.), yellow file folders (index_files, photos_files, etc.) and bps ending files (-1, -2, etc.). I'm afraid to delete them or do anything else with them (e.g., Send to . . . ) for fear they will destroy something in my two Web sites. I don't want to have to do any Web pages or Web sites over. How can I rid my Desktop of these?

Firstly, cross posting to news groups unrelated to your problem is frowned
upon. It sounds like you might be saving the files to your Desktop rather
than to the default My Documents\My Webs folder. To sort things out with
minimal damage, try posting to the news group:
microsoft.public.frontpage.client, or going to Google and searching THAT
group with key words and phrases for similar situations.

Are you starting FrontPage using the FP shortcut? Does the same thing happen
when you start FrontPage using the Start Menu?
