Default Desk Tool Bars

There is a tool bar that shows Microsoft Programs and any Shortcuts I have
made on my Desktop that is usually on the right hand side of my monitor
running vertically. It disappeared this morning and I don't know how to get
it back. I am an amateur user. Can anyone help?

Perhaps it's your QuickLaunch? Try right-clicking just to the right of your
START button and hit Toolbars and then choose Quicklaunch. Likely, its one
of those, at least.

Sounds like you need to r-click the taskbar, select toolbars, and put a
check next to "desktop". If that doesn't fix it, post further questions
observations to the group for your operating system rather than the
Office applications group.

If you are using Office XP or lower then perhaps you are referring to
the Office Shortcut Bar? If that's the case then go to Start/Run and
run this command:

msoffice

If prompted with a message along the lines of "Do you want to show the
OSB when Windows starts?" answer "Yes".

If you are referring to a Windows toolbar, rather than the OSB, then
if you created it and closed it you'll need to recreate the toolbar
again. If you need more on how to accomplish this then take a look at
the following article:

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.
