opening a document into word
I have a document, that I put into my computer by
scanning it. The document is now in "My Documents" but i want to open the sheet with word so I can and things to it and fill in missing info. But when I send it to or open with word. it looks like a progam sheet. how can I get it to open in the right way to where I can read and change it. |

opening a document into word
If you have scanned the document, then you have created a graphic image of
it, which is not editable in Word. You need to scan it through OCR software to convert it to an editable document. Recent versions of Word have a rudimentary OCR capability, but the results are variable. You would be better using a dedicated OCR package such as Finereader. Did your scanner come with a software package that included OCR functions? If what you have scanned is a form, then use the image as a background image to the page and build the document on top using unbordered tables to accept the input. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP Web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site www.mvps.org/word wayne wrote: I have a document, that I put into my computer by scanning it.
