Default units on hand

i am confused! i am new to using Access and am learning as i go. i downloaded
a template for keeping inventory and when i type in the amounts for 'ordered'
and 'received', the correct number does not show up in the 'units on hand'.
does anyone know why? or what i can do to fix it??

Default units on hand

No-one can tell based on the information you gave us.
Where does thre 'units on hand' control get its value from and how is it
calculated. Send us the formula, and send us the origin of all the fields
used in the formula.
It should be something like units on hand = beginning inventory + units
received - units sold
