Default Word does "landscape" OK on my Canon but not on my HP

I don't know if this is the right group nonetheless.....

If I try to print "landscape" using my HP Officejet 710 it ignores the switch.

Same document on my Canon BJC3000 prints correctly.

Any suggestions appreciated

Hi Sid9,

I don't know if this is the right group nonetheless.....

Since no one has answered, here, try the word.printingfonts newsgroup.

One thing they'll certainly suggest is to check whether the problem is listed on
the manufacturer's website and to look for and download an updated printer
driver (yours might be damaged)

If I try to print "landscape" using my HP Officejet 710 it ignores the switch.

Same document on my Canon BJC3000 prints correctly.

Been there, done that, reinstalled the lateset driver (which I had)

I solved the problem......

The printer is a network printer to the source document....the printer did
not comply with the "landscape" instruction.
The very same WORD file, when copied to the printer's computer, printed
"landscape" correctly.

The "landscape instruction was lost in the transfer thorugh the network

What exactly did you do to correct this problem... I have the same thing
happening but it only appears to happen in word or works... all other
programs (Txt, excel, powerpoint, printshop etc) function correctly?
