Default Adding music to PowerPoint slides (Office 2000-2003)

Hello!

Is it possible to add music from audio CDs (play from CDs) to PowerPoint
slides or do the music need to be in file formats (e.g., MP3)? If the
music have to be in file format, will the PowerPoint file be huge? Will
I be able to fit onto a small USB Flash stick/drive (128 MB). I know
audio/music can take a lot of disk space. I could use a CD-R/RW, but
then I can't use a audio CD.

Thank you in advance.
