Afternoon,
When using drop down menu's, is there a function that when you type in the first few characters it finds the name, rather than scrolling through a list? Your help is much appreciated! Thanks |

Drop down menus
Hi Kirsty,
Here is a worksheet solution, and I don't know who to credit it to. Sort your list, A to Z. At the beginning of the A's enter a single A. Do the same for the B's, C's and on to the Z's. Now in the cell that has the DV, type in the beginning letter of the name and DO NOT hit enter. Leave the cell in edit mode, cursor will still be blinking with the letter K for instance. Now click the down arrow of the cell and you will be at the top of th K list. Does not take you to the exact name but much less scrolling. HTH Regards, Howard "Kirsty" wrote in message ...
