A Different Quick Backup Question
I'm going to help upgrade someone's computer from Windows 98 to Windows
XP. I want to save all the data but I will be installing a new hard drive, while making the existing one a secondary drive. Can I just tell the Outlook Express in XP to import data from a certain place on the secondary hard drive without having to follow the directions I picked up at http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;270670 (OLEXP: How to Back Up and Recover Outlook Express Data) ? Thanks in advance, Nate. |

Just make sure the dbx files are not read only as they would be from a =

A Different Quick Backup Question
Can you tell me where the .dbx files would be? I don't use Outlook
Express personally. I tried searching here to see if .dbx files were around anyway and nothing came up. Thanks, Nate. A Different Quick Backup Question
ToolsOptionsMaintenanceStore folder will reveal the location
of your Outlook Express files. Press the Tab key to highlight the folder location, then Ctrl+C. Close OE, then StartRunCtrl+V will put the location in the box - Click OK and you'll see the OE files. Otherwise, write the location down and navigate to it in Windows Explorer. In WindowsXP, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable Show Hidden Files and Folders under StartControl PanelFolder OptionsView. -- Bruce Hagen ~IB-CA~ "Nathan Widmyer" wrote in message ...
