Default how to nclude a auto number field in the query.

sir,
i am having a number of entries in the table. i am seggregating the
entries based upon a query. andso as a result i am getting a number of
queries.
there is a need for the entries in the queries to be numbered. how can i do
that?
please reply me as soon as possible.
