Does anyone know how to change the category axis to logarithmic

You need to use an XY (Scatter) chart, not a line chart.

Assuming your X values are numeric, you can double click on x axis values to
get the x axis menu. Select Scale. Logarithmic scale is one of the options -
lower part of window.
