Turning off action query confirmation messages

How do I turn off ALL confirmation messages for make-table and append queries
when running them from a macro in an Access 2007 .accdb database? I've tried
following a 2004 posting which says:

"If you're using a macro to run the query, put SetWarnings
False before and SetWarnings True after running it.

.... but they aren't accepted as a valid commands in the macro setup. I don't
know SQL; I'm using plain vanilla Make-Table and Append queries called out in
OpenQuery commands in a macro. The confirmation messages say that to turn
off the messages, I should see the Help system, but there is nothing there
that I can find. Please tell me how to do this!

In macro design view, you may need to click the Show All button on the
ribbon so you can find the SetWarnings action.

You might also want to uncheck the Confirm box for Action Queries under:
Office Button | Access Options | Advanced
as well as ensuring your database is in a trusted location.

The trouble with turning off all those messages is that you have no idea
whether your action query worked or not. It may do nothing at all. It may
add/update/delete some records but leave others undone. Or it may have
worked okay, but you really don't know.
