Default Can we license a 2003 copy of visio with a 2007 visio license?

We need to buy two Visio licenses, the current version that everyone else in
the office is using is Visio 2003. Can we purchase the latest, Visio 2007,
and license a 2003 copy with it?

Hello Diane,

I don't believe that the Retail licence for Visio allows downgrade rights,
but I think I may have read something in a version of volume licencing. If
you are using volume licencing then I would contact your suppiler.

Hope that helps.

Best regards

John

Thank you so much - that's what we thought, just were hoping otherwise.

I am in the same situation, wondering what you did or found out.

As noted in the 9/23 response, the Retail license does not have 'downgrade'
rights for 2003 when buying a retail copy of 2007.
