query is too complex
Access throws this error if it cannot understand the query. There are lots
of reasons why that could happen, such as brackets that are incorrect, or (very often) data types that don't match. Explicitly declare your parameters (Parameters on the Query menu) for all fields except Text, so Access knows how to understand them. If you have calculated fields, explicitly typecast them. If you have criteria, make sure the criteria are delimited correct: in quotes if applied against a text field, in # if applied against a Date/Time field, and no delimiters if applied against a Number field. -- Allen Browne - Microsoft MVP.
