Default Graphic transparency in Pub2K under winXPsr3

My old win2k pc blew up and I now have a new WinXP sr3 machine. After
installing my MSO 2K I found that the transparency of graphic images
in my Publisher files no longer works. Has anyone experienced this or
have a fix?

What format are the pictures? Have you installed the Publisher 2000 service
packs?

Hi Mary thanks for responding

I've installed the MSO service packs 1a and 2 (my original MSO Premium
was SR1)

My images are .gif - I saw the kb198264 article and assumed that as I
was using gifs it should have been ok. I then tried deleting the
original images in my .pub files and re-adding but no success I'm
sorry to say. The images look opaque and Ctl+T does nothing
