Default Save IMAP messages to Deleted Items in Outlook 2003?

No, you can't move items to the deleted folder using the delete key in imap
and outlook doesn't support automatic purging. Try a hide deleted view or
group by deleted view to get them out of sight.

om...
I upgraded to Outlook 2003 and the IMAP support is much better

But I still have one issue:

When I delete an item from my IMAP inbox and "Purge Deleted Messages",
the messages don't get saved to the Deleted Items folder like they do
with POP.

Is there any way to have Outlook automatically save a copy to the
Deleted Items folder? (or even another another folder on the server)
We use Lotus Notes Server so Exchange-based server-side solutions
won't work. The email client needs to do it.

I have found this very helpful in the past to go back in time and look
at old messages that I previously thought I didn't need.

I know I can drag the message from my inbox to the deleted items
folder manually, but it is more cumbersome than just hitting the the
"X" (delete) button when reading email.

And also if there was a way to have it automatically "Purge Deleted
Items" (ie delete the message from the server) without having to click
the button? ( I added the "Purge Deleted Items" button to my toolbar -
this is very helpful - saves having to go through menu options. But
still yet another click (dozens of times a day)

Microsoft, Please don't make me change email clients just because some
quirky support for IMAP! IMAP is GREAT for reading email from
multiple places ( I use SnapperMail 2.0 with IMAP on my Treo

thanks in advance,

Lee
