Default Office Home and Student 2007 activation issue

I am looking for information related to activation of office home and student
2007 (3 user license). The question is simple I have 3 installations done on
3 home pc's and one of the PC is no longer in use due to hardware failures.
I am disposing the PC as it is of no use. So does this mean I have lost 1
license ?

If not how do I get the license for this.

There are potential chances when we have to format the systems due to some
of the other issues. Does it mean that If we do so we are going to loose the
licenses for Office ?

No
Simply install on the new PC & use phone activation of online fails
The Licence is for 3 current working installations, not 3 installs

No. You used a license, the machine died, the license is freed up for use in
another machine.

You are allowed three active installations at the same time. If an
installation goes sour, you can install again after repairs, or scrap the
sour instalation and get a new machine and install there instead.

You might be faced with an Activation Wizard, if the wizard does not work
because you have too many activations, then you can select the Telephone
Activation. Tell the operator what happened to you, and they will help you
with the subsequent (curent) activation.
